Hanten is built to be explored without an account. You don't need to sign up, log in, or give us anything to look at the exhibits.
Visiting the site
- We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't follow you to other websites. It tells us things like which pages are popular, not who you are.
- If you turn on an accessibility setting, your browser remembers it on your own device. That setting never comes to us.
Students
Hanten collects nothing from students. Lessons run from the teacher's own computer or projector. Interactives open from a file or from the teacher's private class link; students don't create accounts or sign in, and everything they choose or type stays on their own device. We don't receive any student names, answers, or scores. Class link pages are kept out of search engines and can't send anything back to Hanten.
Contacting us
When you use the contact form, your name, email address, and message are emailed to Hanten so we can reply. We use them only to answer you. We don't add you to a mailing list or share your details.
Buying Lessons
- Payments are handled by Stripe. Hanten never sees or stores your card number. Stripe collects the billing details it needs to process your payment and calculate sales tax.
- When you buy, we keep a purchase record: the email address you used at checkout, which lessons you bought, the amount, the date, and Stripe's payment reference. We use it to give you your downloads, to restore them later, and to keep the business and tax records we're required to keep.
- We send two kinds of email to that address, through our email provider, Resend: a receipt after you buy, and a one-time download link when you ask to restore your purchases. We don't send marketing email.
- So you can download on the computer you bought from, we set one cookie that holds a random sign-in code for your downloads. It can't be read by the page or used on other sites, it lasts up to 180 days, and you can remove it anytime with “Sign out of downloads on this device.” Your browser also remembers a simple “this browser has downloads” note so the page knows to show them.
- We don't sell or share your information, except with the services named here (Stripe, Resend, and Cloudflare, which hosts the site) as needed to run your purchase.

Your information
Purchases never expire, so we keep purchase records for as long as you might need your downloads. If you'd like a copy of what we hold about you, or want it deleted, send us a note. Deleting your purchase record means we can no longer restore your downloads, and we may need to keep some details for tax and accounting.
